The Eikon USB peripheral fingerprint reader and Protector Suite™ software are now deeply integrated with the Mac OS, expanding the Mac user experience by letting Mac users simply swipe their finger to.
UPEK authentication hardware and software are integrated into laptops from the world’s largest PC makers, as well as Eikon USB flash drives, external hard disk drives, and mobile phones from leading manufacturers. Windows 10 removed the AuthenTec software for the Eikon mini finderprint reader. Windows compatibility checker removed the software automatically, but did it in a very orderly fashion. The AuthenTec Eikon Mini driver still appeared under Biometric devices.
UPEK TouchChip TCRU2C is a capacitive USB 2.0 fingerprint scanner. The scanner is based on TouchChip Silicon Fingerprint Sensor that is used in notebooks, keyboards, handheld hardware, door locks, POS terminals and other applications.
Sensor's manufacturer specifies that TCRU2C protective coating ensures its robustness and long service time.
The scanner is no longer manufactured.
Support modules for this scanner are included in MegaMatcher 11.2 SDK, MegaMatcher On Card 11.2 SDK, VeriFinger 11.2 SDK and Free Fingerprint Verification SDK.
